On Broadway transforms a 1.2-acre site into a vibrant, transit-oriented affordable housing community that strengthens neighborhood connectivity and expands access to opportunity.
Located adjacent to Sacramento’s Broadway light rail station, this 140-unit community spans two buildings and includes 3,500 square feet of ground-floor commercial space designed to serve the neighborhood. Planned in alignment with TCAC Large Family standards and the City’s Central City Neighborhood Design Guidelines, the project maximizes density through Type IIIA wood-frame construction over a Type IA concrete podium. Community-centered amenities include gathering spaces in each building, flexible ground-floor areas for services and programming, landscaped courtyards with play areas, bike storage, and secure gated parking. Thirty-seven apartments are dedicated as Permanent Supportive Housing, reinforcing the project’s commitment to serving households experiencing or at risk of homelessness while contributing to the long-term vitality of the Broadway corridor.
